I write this page with the intention of sharing my marriage and relationships – how we went through the trials and victories, failures and triumphs, amidst our faults and successes. Through it all and underneath it all, I have learned one single truth. There is a loving God who is at the center of our marriage.

Marriage is not a private affair.  It is not a one-to-one relationship.  It is a three-some: husband, wife, and God.

Marriage has been made sacred by God. He has designed marriage to be a covenant between two people, to Himself. As husband and wife, they are both consecrated to one another. The husband and wife are called to marriage. To make each other holy. To a life of submission. To servanthood. We are called to model the Christ-Church relationship. We are called to follow the Ephesians Principle.

“Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ. Wives, submit yourselves to your husbands, as you do to the Lord. Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the Church, and gave Himself up for Her, to make Her holy..” (Ephesians 5:21-33)

I know this is difficult to do. It is a sacrifice. But when we enter the sacrament of marriage, we are also given the graces. We have our Lord to call on to, to strengthen us for this task. We rely on God to keep our marriage strong. Remember that marriage is not a contract. It does not have an expiry. We are in this for the long haul, ’till death do us part’.

We are not called to be ‘married singles’ – each one seeking only our own happiness.  Marriage is sacred. Through God’s overflowing graces and mercy, He will grant us victory.

Life is Amazing!
